Honda has unveiled an all-new Africa Twin adventure motorcycle at EICMA 2026 in Milan, with a bigger engine and three variants. Honda has not announced India launch plans or prices, so the India angle is still open. Here is what is known so far.
New Honda Africa Twin: key facts
- Unveiled at: EICMA 2026, Milan
- Model name: CRF1150L Africa Twin series, according to reports
- Engine: liquid-cooled parallel-twin of about 1,131 cc, producing around 119 bhp and 119 Nm, as reported by BikeWale
- Variants: Africa Twin, Africa Twin Adventure Sports and Africa Twin Enduro Sports; reports say the 2027 range also adds an off-road-focused variant
- Chassis: revised, with weight reduction and a lower centre of gravity, according to Honda
- India price and launch: not announced

What the variants offer
- Adventure Sports: a 24-litre fuel tank, a 19-inch front wheel and touring-focused equipment.
- Enduro Sports: rally-inspired styling and front suspension derived from the CRF450 Rally.
- Honda SENSING RIDE: an optional radar-based rider assistance system on the Adventure Sports DCT, with adaptive cruise control, blind spot information, forward collision warning and emergency brake assist.
- Transmission: a dual-clutch transmission (DCT) is mentioned with the Adventure Sports. Reports do not say whether other variants get it.
How it compares with the outgoing model
The previous Africa Twin sold in India is listed at about 98 bhp and weighs around 239 kg. The new bike has a larger engine and about 20 bhp more power, according to the figures reported. Honda says the chassis is lighter and the centre of gravity lower. The new model’s weight, seat height and fuel tank size for all variants were not available in the reports we checked.
Will the new Africa Twin come to India?
Honda has not announced India plans. Reports are mixed: one site says Honda has confirmed an India return in 2026 with local assembly at its Manesar plant, while another says the older bike was discontinued in India after tighter BS6 Phase 2 (OBD2B) emission rules. The previous generation was listed at about ₹16.01 lakh (manual) and ₹17.55 lakh (DCT) ex-showroom, so any new price may be higher, but this is speculation until Honda announces it.
