DLF The Camellias in Gurugram is again one of the most searched real estate names in India this week. Interest picked up after a YouTube video tour of the complex’s club and grounds by BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover drew wide media coverage on October 19, 2026. But the property has been in the news for years, mainly for its prices. Here is what is publicly known about The Camellias, what homes there reportedly cost and why it is called one of India’s most expensive addresses.
DLF The Camellias: key facts
- Developer: DLF Ltd
- Location: Sector 42, DLF Golf Links area, off Golf Course Road, Gurugram, next to the DLF Golf and Country Club
- Homes: about 429 residences, mostly large 4 and 5 BHK apartments plus a small number of penthouses
- Unit sizes: roughly 7,000 sq ft to over 16,000 sq ft, according to listings and project documents
- Height: towers of up to 38 floors, described as DLF’s tallest residential buildings at the time
- Green rating: widely reported as the first residential project in India to receive LEED Platinum certification
Figures on towers and land area differ between sources; project documents and listings give between 9 and 16 towers and between 16 and 25 acres.

How much does a flat in DLF Camellias cost?
There is no single price list, because most sales now are resales between private owners. What is on record:
- December 2024: a penthouse of about 16,000 sq ft was sold for about ₹190 crore to Info-x Software Technology, through its director Rishi Parti, with stamp duty of about ₹13 crore, according to documents accessed by CRE Matrix and reported widely. That works out to about ₹1.2 lakh per sq ft.
- October 2023: another apartment in the complex was reportedly sold for about ₹114 crore.
- Listings in 2026: asking prices on property portals range from about ₹29 crore for smaller units to close to ₹100 crore for the largest apartments. Asking prices are not final sale prices.
For comparison, the average price on Golf Course Road is far lower, around ₹27,000 per sq ft according to market estimates, which shows how much of a premium The Camellias commands.
What residents get

Coverage of the recent video, including by Business Today, describes a private club with indoor and outdoor pools, a spa with a snow room, a bowling alley, a movie theatre, squash courts, banquet and meeting rooms, restaurants and work areas. The complex has private internal roads, landscaped paths and a linear park, and it sits next to a golf course. Buyers and brokers often say the price is for privacy, open space and the club, not only for the size of the flat.
Why the Camellias is trending again
The tour, posted this week on Madhuri Jain Grover’s YouTube channel, features Ashneer Grover walking through the club and grounds. It does not show the inside of an apartment.
Not everyone was impressed. A Gurugram property broker joked on X that, like many site visits, the tour showed the club, the amenities and the greenery rather than the flat itself.
Why is his Camellias flat on lease?
One detail from the video has drawn a lot of comment. Grover says he owns an apartment at The Camellias but has leased it out, and that he lives at his house in Delhi. He did not show the inside of the flat and said he would do a tour once it is vacant. He has not said why he chose to lease it out or who the tenant is, and the tenant’s identity has not been made public.
Leasing out a luxury home is not unusual. Many owners of high-end apartments in Gurugram and Mumbai treat them as investments, live in another city or another home, and earn rent while the property’s value grows. Others keep a flat for later use. Without a statement from Grover, any reason given online is a guess.
Why Gurugram’s luxury market is in focus
The Camellias is part of a wider trend. Large ultra-luxury deals on Golf Course Road and nearby areas have made Gurugram one of India’s most active luxury housing markets, alongside Mumbai. At the same time, many middle-income buyers in the city say affordable homes are getting harder to find. Both sides of this story matter for anyone tracking Indian real estate.

Questions to think about
- Why would an owner lease out a ₹100-crore-class apartment instead of living in it: investment, convenience or something else?
- Should public figures who showcase a property in a video say more about how they use it?
- Are ₹100-crore apartments a sign of a healthy property market, or of a widening gap between buyers?
- Should registered sale prices of homes be easier for the public to look up?
