PM Kisan 24th installment date: what is confirmed, what is not, and how to check your status

“PM Kisan ki 24vi kist kab aayegi?” is one of the most searched questions in India this week. With Diwali on November 8, many farmers are hoping the next ₹2,000 lands before the festival. Some news sites have already printed a date. The government has not.

Here is what is confirmed, what is still only reported, and the three things worth checking now so the money is not held up when it is released.

PM Kisan 24th installment date: what we know

  • Reported date: A few outlets, including Sarkarnama and News Nation, have reported that the 24th installment will be released on October 30, 2026. Neither cites an official order.
  • Official position: As of the latest reports, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and the pmkisan.gov.in portal have not announced a date.
  • The usual cycle: PM-KISAN pays ₹6,000 a year in three instalments of ₹2,000. The 24th covers the August–November 2026 period, so October or November fits the normal pattern.

Our suggestion: treat October 30 as a possibility, not a promise, until the ministry or the Press Information Bureau (PIB) announces it. Viral messages with other dates, such as October 20, turned out to be guesses.

What happened with the 23rd installment

The previous instalment was released on June 20, 2026 by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at a programme in Tarakeswar, in West Bengal’s Hooghly district. About ₹18,880 crore was transferred to more than 9.44 crore farmers, including over 2.18 crore women farmers, according to official figures reported at the time.

If that pattern holds, the 24th instalment would again reach roughly nine crore-plus families, which is why even a small delay draws so much attention.

How to check PM Kisan status

  1. Go to the official portal, pmkisan.gov.in.
  2. Open “Know Your Status” in the Farmers Corner.
  3. Enter your registration number. If you don’t have it, use the “Know your registration number” link with your mobile number or Aadhaar number.
  4. Enter the captcha and the OTP sent to your registered mobile.
  5. Your page shows each instalment, and whether eKYC, Aadhaar bank seeding and land records are marked complete.

You can also check whether your name is in your village’s list through “Beneficiary List” on the same portal, by choosing your state, district, sub-district, block and village.

Three things that commonly hold up payment

  • eKYC not done. It can be completed with an OTP on the portal, with face authentication on the PM-KISAN mobile app, or with a fingerprint at a Common Service Centre (CSC).
  • Aadhaar not linked to the bank account. The money is paid by Direct Benefit Transfer to an Aadhaar-seeded account. Your bank or the India Post Payments Bank can help you seed it.
  • Land records not verified. If the status shows land seeding as “No”, the state agriculture office or patwari has to verify it.

If something looks wrong, the PM-KISAN helpline numbers are 155261 and 1800-115-526 (toll-free). Be careful with calls or messages asking for your OTP or bank PIN; the scheme never asks for these.

Quick answers

PM Kisan 24th installment kab aayegi? No official date yet. Some reports say October 30, 2026; wait for the ministry or PIB to confirm.

How much will farmers get in the 24th installment? ₹2,000 per eligible family, the same as every instalment.

How can I check if I will get PM Kisan money? Use “Know Your Status” on pmkisan.gov.in and make sure eKYC, Aadhaar bank seeding and land seeding all show “Yes”.

Will farmers get ₹4,000 this time? Only farmers who missed the previous instalment and have since fixed their records may receive pending money along with the new one. There is no announcement of a higher amount.

Questions to think about

  • Should the government publish a fixed calendar for PM-KISAN instalments so farmers can plan purchases around them?
  • Is ₹6,000 a year still meaningful support, given how input costs such as seed, fertiliser and diesel have changed since 2019?
  • Should tenant farmers, who often don’t own the land they farm, get a way into the scheme?
