Vivo T5 Pro price in India now: from ₹29,999 at launch to ₹41,999, specs and buying tips

The Vivo T5 Pro 5G is one of the most searched phones in India this festive season, largely because its price has changed so much since launch. The phone launched in April 2026 at under ₹30,000. After several price hikes, linked in reports to rising memory chip costs, it now costs well over ₹40,000 on official channels. Here is the price history, the key specifications and what to check before you buy.

Vivo T5 Pro price in India: then and now

  • 8GB + 128GB: launched at ₹29,999; now ₹41,999
  • 8GB + 256GB: launched at ₹33,999; now ₹46,999
  • 12GB + 256GB: launched at ₹39,999; check the current price on Flipkart or Vivo’s store

Launch prices from April 2026 reports by TelecomTalk and ETV Bharat. Current prices as reported by Beebom on August 19, 2026, after the latest hike, live on Flipkart and Vivo India at the time. Some price trackers show lower deal prices; check the final price before you buy.

Why the price went up

Smartphone prices in India rose across many brands in 2026. Reports point to a sharp rise in memory (RAM and storage) chip costs as the main reason. According to Beebom, the base Vivo T5 Pro model is now ₹12,000 more expensive than at launch, and the 256GB model is ₹13,000 more. Vivo has not published a detailed reason for each hike.

Vivo T5 Pro specifications

  • Display: 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED, 144Hz refresh rate
  • Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4
  • Battery: 9,020mAh with 90W wired fast charging
  • Rear cameras: 50MP main and 2MP bokeh
  • Front camera: 32MP
  • Software: OriginOS 6, based on Android 16
  • Launch and first sale: launched April 15, 2026; on sale from April 21 on Flipkart, Vivo’s store and retail shops

Is it still worth buying at the new price?

That depends on what you need. The very large battery and the 144Hz AMOLED screen are its main strengths. At over ₹40,000, though, it now competes with phones that were in a higher segment at launch. Buyers who focus on cameras may want to compare it with other models in the same range. Festive bank offers and exchange deals can also change the final price a lot.

Five checks before you buy

  • Compare prices on Flipkart, Vivo’s store and offline shops on the same day.
  • Check whether a bank offer needs a specific card or a minimum spend.
  • Read the exchange value terms; they depend on your old phone’s condition.
  • Choose 256GB storage if you shoot a lot of video.
  • Buy from authorised sellers and keep the invoice for warranty.

Questions to think about

  • Should brands explain each price hike to buyers more clearly?
  • Will rising memory costs make mid-range phones a thing of the past in India?
  • Is battery size now more important to buyers than camera specifications?
